Android 9 AKA Android Pie has officially been released on Pixel phones with a rollout for additional devices expected through the rest of 2018 and into 2019.
We are excited to announce that Android Pie is already supported by our SeeTest quality assurance platform for web and mobile apps. If you have updated to the latest version of SeeTest then congratulations you are ready to go.
Some of the most interesting features of Android Pie include:
Adaptive battery life – Using Deep Mind machine learning the OS can learn which apps you use, will use, and won’t use to improve battery life.
Adaptive brightness – Smarter settings mean changing your device brightness less.
App actions – System generated shortcuts for the apps you use most.
Digital Wellbeing – This feature helps users understand what you spend most of your device time on and helps you break the habit of being on your device too much.
The SeeTest Continuous Testing Platform allows you to develop and execute tests easily and quickly with enhanced versions of the industry’s open source tools such as Appium, without having to wait for Open source Appium support for the latest versions.
The SeeTest Digital Assurance Lab provides access to 1000+ mobile devices including the latest models and versions. It is offered as an on-premise or SaaS solution, from global data centers located in the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, India, and Israel.
